We are an eco house hostel located in the heart of the Mayan world jungle. Saraguate eco hostel is our little oasis created to protect all kind of flora and fauna. Our eco house is built with re-used materials also using the ancient Mayan Technics, on the shores of the beautiful Lake Petén Itzá,

What a great place to come and relax and disconnect from all around we offer you an amazing experience to enjoy animals sights and bird sights, also enjoy the waters of our beautiful amazing lake Peten Itza. Have a full Peten experience all Mayan archeological around, come and enjoy this amazing beautiful and cleansing experience at Saraguate eco hostel.

Cancellation policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 12:00 to 23:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash only.

Amazing experience here. What a true gem. Right on the water and you can take dips into the lake. So many places to chill - it’s in the middle of the jungle. Many animals in this hostel - the cutest dog, many cats & kittens, monkeys outside (if you’re lucky!), a potential scarier bug, mosquitoes (but they provide repellant!). Would highly recommend taking their shuttle to the airport (save so much $$!), eating their meals, and setting up your Tikal tour with them, and tourguide Nixon. 10/10

Skip Flores, and stay here. Saraguate is an awesome place to stay; welcoming staff, a beautiful setting, and great meals. They have great connections for shuttles and tours and it’s nice to come back from a day of travel to your peaceful jungle oasis! 10/10 recommend.

Patsy e Ivan, mamma e figlio, ti accolgono come a casa. Sono arrivata come ospite e poi sono rimasta 2 sett. a fare volontariato qui. Sono stata da Dio. Una pace e una tranquillità di cui avevo davvero bisogno dopo tanto viaggiare. Qui ci si gode la natura, gli animali, il lago, il cibo veramente ottimo e una VERA atmosfera locale. Ci si arriva facilmente con un bus da Flores a 18 quetzales. Immergetevi nella selva e mangiate alcuni dei piatti guatemaltechi più buoni che possiate provare.
