Hostel Trastevere

There wasn’t a storage place for my assigned bed (but there was for two of the four beds in my room??) so it didn’t feel very secure. I was only there one night but the staff was helpful to me and kind.

The dorm where I slept was on the street side (parking). There was a lot of noise at night from the street. The windows are clearly not well insulated. Toilet paper was not replenished sufficiently in the bathroom of the dorm. I had to ask at the reception. When there was no one at the reception, I wanted to use the toilet in the hallway. But I quickly changed my mind, the bin was overflowing with toilet paper and there was feces hanging on the toilet seat. Disgusting. It took a long time before this was cl

I love the area of Trastevere but not ideal if you’ve never been to Rome before and want to be near the centre. Beds had a weird layout and there aren’t any sockets near the beds which was frustrating when I needed to charge my phone or belongings at night. Common areas were nice, staff were super helpful and friendly! Beds were comfy and bathrooms were kept clean, it was nice having an ensuite.
