Free WiFi, free surfboards, free canoes & surf kayaks, free stand-up paddle boards and heaps more! Purpose built hostel, centrally located with organized activities every day and night to make sure you have a stay to remember!

We are perfectly located in the lively Jetty area close to cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops and an international marina. The beach is just a 7 minute walk.

With fabulous large communal areas and excellent facilities our clean, comfortable, fun, friendly hostel is well known for its great atmosphere; it's so easy to meet other people and have a good time.

You can take our free surf kayaks down to the beach, use the free canoes to explore the beautiful Coffs Creek and then have fun with our bikes, free stand up paddle boards, free surfboards, free boogie boards and free fishing rods. Spot wild Koalas in the Botanic Gardens, just a 10 minute walk down the creek.

Privately owned and operated, we can help you organize any of the fabulous adventure activities Coffs Harbour has to offer. We will be happy to share our knowledge of the area and show you the Coffs Harbour that we know and love.

Just some of the fun activities available are skydiving, scuba diving, surfing, horse riding, weekly trips to Emerald Beach, the Big Banana and the rainforest and whale watching (Seasonal). Join us for a great time!

Aussitel Backpackers is purpose built with a swimming pool, sun loungers and excellent cooking and laundry facilities. We are well known for our friendly, fun atmosphere and have a brilliant range of planned social activities (one every day and night of the week) that will guarantee you a stay to remember! So come and join in the fun!

Our office hours are 9.00am - 7.00pm. Arriving outside these hours please contact us for check in instructions.

NB: An international passport must be presented at check-in. All guests must be over the age of 18. Dorm rooms must be between 18-35 years.

No locks in the showers was weird. The hostel was overall ok and common areas are nice. maybe implementing a charging point and a light next to each bed would be nice too.

About Coffs Harbour

Located in between the more well-known Sydney and Brisbane, you’ll find Coffs Harbour, patient, precious and just waiting to be explored. Known for its picturesque beaches, amusement park and the Big Banana Monument, Coffs Harbour is a perfect location for your next backpacking adventure.

Coffs Harbour may not have as many hostels as big-hitters Sydney and Melbourne, but believe us when we say there’s something for everyone. For instance, there’s a Coffs Harbour hostel that’s super central and also boasts an outdoor terrace, a nightclub and a book exchange - for all you bookworms out there. Most hostels in Coffs Harbour offer free Wi-Fi and plenty have communal kitchens for saving money. Keep an eye out for those with free surfboard, canoe and kayak rental too!

City slickers should choose a hostel in the centre of Coffs Harbour for quirky coffee shops, lively Aussie pubs and the city’s best restaurants. If you’re more of a sun-seeker then you’ll love staying by the beautiful golden sand beach and its crystal clear waters. At the Coffs Harbour Marina you can spot an abundance of wildlife, including shearwater birds and even migrating whales if you time it right!

While Coffs Harbour might be less known than other Australian towns and cities, however, you won’t be short of adventurous things to do while you’re in town. Nature lovers backpackers hop on a boat and fall in love watching playful dolphins and friendly whales in their natural habitat. Those that love adventure and nature, chose from activities such as paddle boarding, walking tracks to hidden pools and lookout points, a treetop adventure park and skydiving, to name a few.

A few local bus companies cover the Coffs Coast; however, walking is an easy way to get around the town, with a variety of walking paths and trails both around the town but also to close by destinations. If your legs get tired of walking or perhaps you want to travel further and faster, why not hire a bike. Cycling around the town, coastal routes and national parks are a popular option. There is also a 24-hour taxi service operating in town, should you ever find yourself in need of a ride.
