Hotel Jesse

Property Description:
Hotel Jesse is located in the city center, in front of Dam Square and at less than 5min by walk from Amsterdam Central Station which makes it the ideal starting point to explore Amsterdam. Many restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, casinos, museums, department stores and the Red Light District are all located around this area. Trams also stop in front of the hotel for those who wish to explore the outer reaches of Amsterdam.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Upon arrival the City Tax (12.5% of the total price of the reservation) has to be paid, this is NOT included in the booking price. Those are mandatory taxes all over Amsterdam Center.

Hostel Mevlana Policies & Conditions:
The hotel is a typical ancient building in downtown Amsterdam that has been classified 'Monument'. All monument buildings are restricted by the government and can't be modified which means there are NO elevators. Traditional ancient narrow deep stairs have a history of hundred years therefore it is recommended to try to avoid carrying large suitcases that are heavy and have large wheels.
- The hotel has a bar where you can buy drinks. Near the reception are various discount vouchers available to many of the attractions in Amsterdam.
- We do not serve breakfast and we do not have kitchen facilities.
- Underage are only allowed to stay in private room and must be kept under parental or a legal guardian supervision at all times. Reservations and check-in must be done by a parent or a legal guardian (adult friends and/or non relatives are NOT accepted). Any violation of those rules will result in an automatic cancellation of the reservation and/or an expulsion of the hotel.
- We have a minimum age limit of 18 years old, and a maximum age limit of 40 years old for dormitories, we will refuse guests younger or older, even if they made a booking. All our dormitories are MIXED rooms, we do NOT separate males and females.
- For dormitories, please respect the specific bed and locker number assigned by the reception. Guests are NOT allowed to change bed by themselves. If you do not comply an additional bed will be charged based on the daily price.
- Pets are NOT allowed.
- Only registered guests are allowed inside of the rooms, no visitors.
- A maximum of 3 luggages per guest is allowed inside of the hotel.
- Check-in starts at 14:00. You can check in all night long, even after midnight.
- Check-out must be done before 11:00 or a payment of an extra night will be charged. Luggages can be stored for free the day of the check-in.
- Storage room is free until 6pm the day of the check-out then it cost 5 euros per luggage and per day.
- For early check-out before 7am please contact the reception in advance in order to get more information about the procedure.
- There is a mandatory 10 euros deposit in CASH for the room key. Foreign currencies are NOT accepted.
- For group bookings, the whole price of the reservation has to be paid on arrival during the check-in. Only the person from the booking's name can do the check-in.
- When you book more than one bed in a dormitory room, please be aware that you are NOT guaranteed to be in the same room.
- Smoking is strictly forbidden throughout the property. Damaging or removing the smoke detectors will result in a fine of 200 euros.
- Any damages to the room caused by the guest will be charge to the customer.
- Violating one of the Hotel Rules may result in a fine of 200 euros and an expulsion of the hostel.
- The hotel is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

Bookings and Cancellations:
- For any questions related to the deposit (15%) paid in advance, please contact Hostelworld's customer service directly.
- We have a policy of pre-authorizing your credit card as a reservation guarantee method. The hostel does not charge; it is a temporary hold. We do this 6 days prior to your check-in date to ensure that the card is valid and has sufficient funds to cover the cost of the first night. This amount will be released on your credit card after your check-in or charged in case of No-show or late cancellation. If a pre-authorization is not possible we have the right to cancel your reservation.
- We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. For example: your booking is made for 15 April, so you can cancel your booking free of charge before 13 April. The free-cancellation deadline is 23:59 (local time) on 12 April. In case of late cancellation or no show, the first night will be charged on your card. Cancellations MUST be done via your Hostelworld account.
