About

Ta Van Heaven homestay is a spacious homestay with the main house located between 2 large gardens. We are far away from Sapa town 7km and 10km from Sapa bus station.

The main house has 2 floors. The 1st floor is reception, kitchen and restaurant with many jars of long-ages rice wine, TV, speaker, guitar,... The 2nd floor is a dormitory room with 12 mixed bed and 2 private room shared bathroom. The balcony is on 4 sides so we have a big view of mountain, terraces, river, and villages. Free private parking is available on site.

Lovely and cozy bungalows were built on 2 large gardens right next to the main house. We grow a lot of different native flowers and a lot of vegetables in the front and around these bungalows. There is also a small fish pond. We organize comfy beds, free towel, ultra clean rooms, hot shower and super friendly family who will help in any way we can. Only 7km from Sapa town, not too far if you want to visit the town. Our homestay is located in the center of Ta Van village so if you want to go to town or visit the village, it is very easy. We always want to bring guests the feeling of being at home when staying at our homestay.

Come and enjoy the spring atmosphere of our village. If you are a nature lover, would like to stay in a quiet and peaceful village, Ta Van village and our homestay are good choice. Spring comes, bringing with it the unique beauty of mountains, forests, green hills, blooming flowers, herds of buffalo leisurely on the hills, or children playing around the village.

Activities in the village:
- Handicraft workshop: You will learn how to paint on fabric with beeswax and dye fabric with cajuput with the H'Mong people. After 1 day of dyeing, you will receive the finished product. You can sew it into pillowcases, patterns on blankets, curtains or make it into a bag.
- Climbing & trekking around village: The tour guides are ethnic minority girls of Sapa: H'mong, Dao so you will be closer to their traditional culture. You will visit the bamboo forest, see the beautiful waterfall of the village, enjoy lunch at a local's house.
In addition, we also organize a climbing trip to Fansipan peak (1 day, 2 days 1 night). At the end of the trip, you will receive a climbing certificate and medal.

Beautiful homestay located in a quaint town at the foot of the mountains. Be sure to do the trek offered at the hostel-it was by far my favourite experience in Sapa and such an authentic non touristy experience. A beautiful young lady from the Black Hmong tribe that lives in the mountains takes you on a trek up the mountain through the bamboo forest (lunch include. The girl that leads the hike is the sweetest soul and is eager to teach you about her super interesting way of life.

About Sapa

The small mountain town of Sapa in northwest Vietnam is the country’s trekking haven. The Hoàng Liên Son ranges are home to Fan Si Pan, also known as the Roof of Indochina, which is the highest peak in Vietnam. Hikers can also experience a slice of local life with a night or two in a traditional homestay, or visit one of the highland tribal villages that the Hmong, Dao, Tay, Giay and Xa Pho people call home.

Stay in a Sapa hostel in an authentic Hmong wooden house in the mountains and get a taste for local delicacies at communal family dinners, teach English to children, or help take care of the gardens and animals. After trying a cooking class or handicraft workshop, you’ll be ready just to sink into a comfy hammock overlooking the terraced rice fields. Sapa hostels can be found in the heart of Sapa Town, with rooftop terraces and dorm room balconies with views of the Muong Hoa valley and Fan Si Pan mountain.

Founded by French colonialists in the early 1900s, today Sapa Town is bustling with bars and restaurants serving traditional Vietnamese and Western dishes. The daily Sapa Market is packed with traders selling their colourful wares, including silver jewellery, medicinal herbs and embroidered textiles. Cat Cat Village, 3km from downtown Sapa, is the oldest of the local ethnic villages. Visit to see women weaving traditional fabric in front of their wooden houses or the thundering Cat Cat waterfall.

Known for its fresh mountain air, terraced rice fields and breathtaking views, most visitors come to Sapa to hike. You can organise guided treks for up to 3 days, often including an overnight stay in a mountain home, or buy a map and head out on your own. For a less taxing option, Fan Si Pan Peak can now be reached by the world’s longest cable car route. Taking just 15 minutes, you will pass through clouds as you reach the dizzying height of 3,143 metres.

Being a trekking town, the best way to see Sapa is on foot. If you’re feeling tired, you can always jump on the back of a motorcycle or catch a local bus. You can’t fly directly to the town, but buses and trains both arrive from Hanoi. The popular overnight train takes 8-9 hours to Lao Cai, from where a connecting bus heads to Sapa. A bus from Hanoi arrives at Sapa bus station, just north of the town centre, in 6-7 hours.
