Having been traveling through Colombia for the last month we have had a variety of hotel accomidation. This was probably one of the most expensive, with the least amount of facilities. In Histel World it stated it had a shared kitchen, this was not true. For us the nights were cold, except for an extra blanket there was no heating available. Staff were friendly enough and the place was clean.

Loved everything about my stay, but I do not need loud music playing in the courtyard all afternoon and evening. Especially not when there aren't people in the courtyard to actually enjoy the music. Apart from this, really loved the hostel and the staff was super friendly.

We have mixed feelings about our stay at the El Yarumo. On the one hand, it has a beautiful backyard and is greatly located. Unfortunately, the backyard is mostly used for the own gastronomy and there is no typical hostel, get-together vibe. If you’re a noise sensitive person, be aware that you’ll hear music from ~10am-10pm in our own room. More important, you can’t use the kitchen properly, only small meals that doesn’t involve the stove are possible. However, staff was friendly and welcoming.
