El Granado, your hostel in Granada :)

We are located right in the centre of Granada and a short walk from the Cathedral, the historic neighbourhood of the Albaizin, the Alhambra and the best tapas bars of the city. We are the perfect choice for solo travellers, backpackers and groups of friends who are looking for relaxed social vibes and an authentic Andalusian experience. We have 10 dorm rooms and 1 private double room, as well as lots of common areas including two spacious rooftop terraces!

At El Granado we value community and sustainability. We work with our local community as much as possible and we do our best to limit our impact on the environment. We are proud to be a sustainable tourism destination for conscious travellers.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
We are a social hostel and we were nominated in 2021 and 2022 for the Hostelworld 'HOSCAR' in the 'SOCIABLE EXPERIENCE / PEOPLE PERSON' category (1 of 5 hostels in the world). Get ready to meet your soon-to-be friends and travel buddies.
Amongst other activities, we organize:
- Family dinners at the hostel
- Flamenco shows
- City walking tours and cave-hikes
- Hikes in Sierra Nevada (wonderful views, hanging bridges, waterfalls...)
- Yoga on the rooftop
- Rooftop bar nights from May to October/November

FREE CANCELLATION
You can modify your booking at any time or cancel it free of charge up to 24 hours before 3pm of your arrival day (applicable to standard rates only and not applicable to event days).

RECEPTION HOURS AND CHECK-IN
Check-in is from 3pm and reception is open from 9am to 9pm every day. You can come before 3pm to leave your bags or chill in the common areas. If you think you'll arrive after 9pm, please contact us by whatsapp or email so that at 8pm of your arrival day we can send you the self check-in instructions.

ACTIVITIES
We organize many activities at the hostel and in the city, such as family dinners, hikes, walking tours, Flamenco shows and yoga on the rooftop. Join our WhatsApp group to see details and sign up. You will receive the link to join the group in an email 3 days before your arrival, or you can just join upon arrival.

FACILITIES AND USEFUL INFO
- Rooftop common area with a kitchen, living room, 2 sunny rooftop terraces, guitars, board games...
- Ground floor co-working area open from 9am to 9pm.
- Lockers in every room. Each bed has its own reading light, socket and bedside shelf
- Free and fast WI-FI everywhere (including bathrooms!)
- Air conditioning (except the double room on the ground floor, naturally kept at a comfortable temperature by building's thick walls)
- Heating
- Car parks nearby: Parking Gran Capitan (€15 for our guests), Parking San Juan de Dios, Parking Hermanos Maristas
- Check-in: 3pm
- Check-out is until 11:00
- Padlocks available to rent
- Self-service laundry

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- El Granado Hostel is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items
- Non-smoking policy in all rooms and common areas except for the rooftop terraces - fine: €50
- Pets are only allowed in our private double room
- Teenagers below 16 years old can only stay if accompanied by an adult.
- Lost key fee: €10
